Women who make beautiful things

Back in 2006, Eileen Gittins launched one of the hottest media startups in San Francisco. Ever have an idea for a book but didn’t want to go through the stress of getting a literary agent to shop it around to publishers?  Or pay an arm and a leg to print a small quantity to share with friends and family.  Blurb is your answer.  Beautiful books made by you.

The Blurberati (is that a great name for the team at Blurb or what?!) created an elegant, user friendly tool that allows you to tap into your creativity to produce something unique that you can touch, feel and share with others.  Now if that’s not beautiful, then I don’t know what is.

I’m far from tech savvy. So if I can use Blurb’s BookSmart tool to make The Adventures of Orelia Mae, anyone can do it.  Here’s a few photos that didn’t quite make the final cut in the book.
