I left my heart in St. Emilion

Okay, I admit it.  I had never heard of St. Emilion until my therapist (uh hmm, friend) mentioned it a few years ago.  I had always wanted to check out the Bordeaux region.  So I bought a train ticket, hopped on the TGV and spent a glorious weekend exploring this tiny village.

While I’ve been to some lovely towns throughout France (Gordes, Lacoste, Menerbes, etc.), St. Emilion is the most beautiful village I have ever had the pleasure to visit.  The pace of life there is super slow.  There’s not much to do other than roam the winding streets, sip wine, eat fois gras and indulge in an afternoon nap (or two).  It was my kind of weekend.  I can’t wait to go back!
