“Live moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” When I recall my time in Paris, I can’t help but think of this quote from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. In a world with so much noise (IM, text, email, Facebook, etc.), it’s a rare moment when you can really slow down and open your eyes to the beauty around you.
Everywhere you look in Paris, there’s something gorgeous that stops you in your tracks. From the whimsical store displays of Pylones to the chicly clad mannequins in the boutique windows along Rue Saint-Honoré to the beautiful young people strolling down the narrow streets of the Marais to the lights reflected in the Seine at night.
Life may be moving fast, but during my time in Paris I learned the joys of moving slowly.
